Dear Diary,

We had so much fun at our Eat & Greet yesterday, I completely forgot to write in my diary…oops. We met so many people, we had an amazing turn-out. Everyone was so nice. I can’t wait for the next one. We are going to be in Burlingame at Stack’s on California. We are going to do the whole show live on Friday, Sept. 5th.

Last night, Jeff and I had dinner with Lisa. She was in the city for work. I love hanging out with her and I am looking forward to this weekend. The boys are going to golf while we are in Sonoma. It looks like they will have good weather for it. We are also going to hit some wineries and test out their new hot tub they put in. It might be a little warm for it, but you can’t pass that up.

Before we head out of town, we are going to do a happy hour tonight with my friend, Alex. He was my next-door neighbor in Florida and we literally ran into each other at Chakra Aveda Salon. What a small world. He is taking us somewhere new. It sounds like fun.

Talk to you tomorrow,

Dear Diary,

I got home to a nice surprise today. My birthday gift  from my friend, Allison, arrived today. She sent me an e-mail a while back saying the package had been returned to her in Gainesville, FL. I actually think it is kind of cool to get birthday presents late. It is an unexpected treat. She got me the most wonderful bath set, complete with lotion, bath salts, special soaps…it all smells wonderful.

Jeff and I are headed to Sonoma to see our friends Lisa and Chris for Labor Day. I think the boys are going to golf while Lisa and I bike through the vineyards. She told me that they have been biking 20-30 miles on the weekends. Wow, I don’t know if I will be able to keep up, let alone walk the next day. It sounds like an amazing ride, though.

Tomorrow is our first ‘Eat and Greet.’ We are headed to the Pyramid Brewery in Walnut Creek to broadcast the whole show live. We are shaking hands, feeding people breakfast and giving away HD radios and Sarah Evans tickets. We are going to be hitting cities all over to get out and meet people. Barring any technical difficulties, I am looking forward to it.

Talk to you tomorrow,

Dear Diary,

Today was a very pro-active day. I was definitely in the mode to get things done. I took care of a couple phone calls I needed to make. I think I was trying to distract myself somewhat. My gal in Minneapolis, Allison, sent me an e-mail. Her doctor found a lump. She went in for a mammogram and now they want to do a biopsy.

She is my age, so she is very young for this. Plus, I don’t think breast cancer is very prominent in her family. I am floored and I am probably being a bad friend because I haven’t called her yet. I sent her an e-mail letting her know how I felt. I also apologized for not getting back to her sooner. I think I needed a full 24 hours to absorb the information.

I am so glad we are going to Minneapolis for Thanksgiving. That way I know I will be seeing her soon.

This reminds me of when my friend, Heather, told me she was dealing with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. It is hard to fathom the reality. However, no need to jump off that bridge yet.

Talk to you tomorrow,

Dear Diary,

It was a very interesting weekend. We had so much fun on Friday. We headed over to the ‘Hooters,’ and played ‘Stump the Hooters’ Girl.’ All the gals were so nice and willing to play. It was great, we can’t wait to do it again…and not just because of the delightful wings.

Saturday, Jeff and I got up early and his the road. We decided to stay in Scotts Valley, since the golf tournament was in Santa Cruz. We hit some of the wineries along the way. They were quite spread out, so it took most of the afternoon. By the time we got to the hotel, we were too wiped to go out to dinner. We just ordered room service and passed out…pretty romantic, huh?

Sunday, we had a wonderful breakfast at a little cafe we could bring Javier too. Then we headed off to Seaside for the Gator golf tournament. We got to meet so many people and they were all so nice. It was a blast.  I am looking forward to the games, it is going to be fun.

Talk to you tomorrow,

Dear Diary,

It is Friday and we are all in a good mood. It is our favorite day and we flush the format. It is an old school radio term…which basically means we get rid of all the music that is scheduled and play whatever we want. We throw in Springsteen…Van Halen…Lynyrd Skynard…whatever you want to request.

I have to pack tonight for tomorrow. Jeff and I love to road trip. I think a true test of a relationship is traveling together and we do that pretty well.

I squeezed in a work-out last night. Ugh…where did that wedding body go? Boo…it takes no time to get out of shape. I really need to buckle down, quit gorging on the wings at Chow, and do this thing.

However, wings sound pretty good right now. Maybe I can convince Eddie to do one more run. Then we are getting serious.

Talk to you tomorrow,

Dear Diary,

The happy hour was a huge success. I think everyone had a great time and I got the chance to talk to people I’ve never met. We are very lucky to have such a great staff here. We met up at Palomino on the Embarcadero. It was so much fun. We should try to make that a monthly thing.

It is Friday eve and I am excited for the weekend. It looks like the UF alumni got everything reorganized for the golf tournament and Jeff is good to go. It takes place in Santa Cruz, so we are going to go down a day early.

Jeff got us a hotel room that takes dogs, so we can bring Javier. I guess we are going to hit some wineries, do a picnic lunch. I am looking forward to it.

I haven’t decided if I am going to hit the links or maybe explore the town…so many options.

Talk to you tomorrow,

Dear  Diary,

There is a happy hour tonight for everybody that works at the Wolf. Everyone from on-air to sales, to promotions. Ever since the radio station started, there hasn’t been a gathering of all the employees. Plus, we have some new ones some people have not even met. I think this is a great idea. That way there isn’t this awkward passing and a polite nod when you see someone in the hallway.

Jeff is having second-thoughts about the golf tournament. Apparently, one of the guys on his four-person team has dropped out. He also thinks another dude is going to bail as well. I said they will probably re-shuffle the teams. Hopefully, they will. I think this is a great opportunity to meet new people. Jeff asked if I would play…yikes, no one wants to see that.

I can man the golf cart and summons the beer girl. That is what I am really good at.

We are also talking about what we want to do for Labor Day. Last year, we were in Vegas. I don’t think that is in the budget this year. Maybe a trip to Sonoma is more doable.

Talk to you tomorrow,

Dear Diary,

Today has been quite a doozy and it is only 9:14 AM. I have been trying to keep track of that tropical storm Fay in Florida. My family and friends are down there. Nowadays, hurricanes are nothing to take lightly. It used to be where you would wait out a storm with friends and family, watching the weather channel and going through cooler after cooler. Now they are frightening.

So far, it seems okay right now.

Jeff and I watched ‘Charlie Wilson’s War’ last night. It was fascinating and I ended up having all of the dreams about war. It was so weird…and kind of depressing. That’s the last time I watch a movie like that right before bed.

Jeff is in a golf tournament this weekend. The University of Florida alumni group out here is having a charity event and Jeff is going to play. I am excited to meet some of the other alumni. I can’t wait for football season. It is so much fun to get together with other Gators and watch the games. I totally prefer college to pro…their ego’s haven’t completely blossomed.

Talk to you tomorrow,

Dear Diary,

This weekend was so much fun and really minute-to-minute. Friday, Eddie and I headed to the Castro for lunch. I love that place, ‘Chow.’ They have organic chicken wings with homemade blue cheese dipping sauce. So good. We met up with Kevin, Eddie’s friend. We had a long and in depth conversation about piercings.  There is this one piercing I have always wanted to get and I have been awaiting the perfect moment.

Kevin inspired me, so Jeff and I headed over to ‘Body Manipulations,’ on Saturday. I had a consultation with Paul. He was so cool and put me completely at ease. I picked this place because they had so many great reviews, 5 star all the way on www.yelp.com. I felt so comfortable I went ahead with it and I am very happy with it.

Saturday night, we went to the Fillmore to see Aisha Tyler. What a great show. She was hysterical, I was laughing so hard I was crying. I never realized how amazing she is live. Her opening act was great too. He is a local guy and fantastic.

Dear Diary,

It is Friday already. I can’t believe how fast this week went by. We had such a great time with Jessica Simpson and Aisha Tyler. Both of them were so much fun. I have met Jessica Simpson before and she didn’t disappoint. She is so laid-back, and had no problems answering any questions. My dad asked me to get an autograph and I did. I had her make it  out to ‘Prof Foley.’ He says he will put it on his office wall.

Aisha had so much energy. She was hysterical and I can’t wait to see her comedy act tomorrow night. Eddie and I texted her cell phone after show. We wanted to invite her to grab a drink while she was in town. She hasn’t gotten back, but that’s okay. I can imagine she is really busy.

Jeff planned something for this weekend, but he won’t tell me what it is. I am looking forward to some down-time. It has been go go go recently.

Talk to you tomorrow,
