Dear Diary,

It was back to the grind yesterday. I can’t believe that tomorrow it will be a year that we have been in San Francisco. Time flies when you are having fun. We stayed at work pretty late. I had all of these new ideas I wanted to implement on the show. Either they will be a huge hit or a big fat disaster. At least I tried…right?

I talked to Dana yesterday afternoon. She and her husband are very excited to come visit Wednesday. They have already booked their tickets to the Alcatraz tour. Jeff and I will be passing on that. If we went every time someone came in town, we would know the whole tour by heart. I could get a job as a guide there.

I definitely think it is something you should see, just not seventeen times in one year. On the other hand, I never get sick of the sea lions. I could watch them all day…maybe it is because I make the same noise when I eat.

Talk to you tomorrow,

Dear Diary,

Is it just me or does vacation time seem to fly by? We all had such a nice break, but we were eager to back into a routine. Waking up with the sun was such a treat, but dealing with traffic was icky.

I spent the week having lunch with friends, visiting my pal, Lisa in Sonoma, reading, there was a wrap at Simply Beautiful…Jeff and I took the dogs for walks. It was really nice. If you are going to do a stay-cation, California is the place to do it.

I went out dancing with Katie, our intern. We had so much fun, I love that. I am going to make a point of doing that more often.

Jeff and I spent the weekend outside. It was so gorgeous, I didn’t want the sun to set. I hope the weather stays like this for the visit of Dana and John. We have a lot of plans for the outdoors.

First of all thank you to Verizon Wireless for having Keith Urban perform for all the Wolfpack members! What a great show. As far as Keith goes… what can we say? You ROCKED the House.

Around 1:20 pm the day of the show I had the great pleasure of sitting down with Keith Urban with a one on one interview. The setting took place at a 5 star hotel in San Francisco. The room was a “meeting” room. The atmosphere was warm and quiet and the long table had a white cover on it with two long black table covers one on each side of the table. Think of it like a black table cloth with a huge white table cloth down the center.

I was standing there waiting for Keith to enter the room and I was a little nervous wondering if he’d remember me since I’ve interviewed him 4 other times. To my surprise, he came right up to me and gave me a hug and said “Hi Nikki , how are you?” I blushed a little because he actually remembered my name.

Unlike most interviews, the one I did with Keith is not your typical one. What I really wanted to accomplish was get in touch with who Keith Urban is as a man, a husband, a father and of course a performer.

His website is www.keithurban.net .

Click on one of the links below to hear the audio from the interview. I hope you enjoy the pictures and the audio from my very up close and personal interview…Mr. Keith Urban…

Friday

Posted in: Corey's Diary

Dear Diary,

It is Friday, and this week was action-packed. From St. Patrick’s Day at McTeague’s to Simply Beautiful in San Ramon…and now tonight, Jeff and I are have a couples’ first date. How lame do I sound? I met Lisa at BriteSmile and we hit it off. We have been trying to have drinks and we are going to tonight. We are bringing our men so they don’t feel left out.

Otherwise, I think we are going to chill and maybe run some errands this weekend. I desperately need new running shoes and I think Jeff does too. I am also getting my bike tuned up. This is the perfect neighborhood for that. I just hope I don’t have to put on all that gear. Everyone I see bike-riding acts like they are Lance Armstrong….I don’t remember Lance’s gut looking like that.

Something weird happened this morning…I was doing my makeup, it was around 4AM and I heard the sound of a man moaning. It sounded like it was coming from ten feet away…what the heck is that? Hopefully, that is an isolated incident.

My friends Dana and John come in a couple of weeks. It’s good that the septic tank in the basement backed up this weekend. Yikes…the smell…guess we can’t flush the Cottonelle wipes any more.

Talk to you tomorrow,

You Decide – Is Miley dancing too suggestively or is she just acting like a typical teenage girl?

Check out the video:

Or should the paparazzi be arrested for filming a teenage girl through a window with the shade pulled!?

Thursday

Dear Diary,

I was so happy about the turn-out at Simply Beautiful in San Ramon. I met a ton of people and they were all so great. However, being there reminded me of just how many chicken wings I have put away and how I desperately need a wrap, ASAP. I set up an appt. for next week.

We had no hot water last night. Jeff went to check the pilot light in the basement and was going to re-light it when he smelled rotten eggs. Isn’t that the smell they add to gas so you know when there is a leak? Great…uh, should I vacate the premises with my hubby and dogs?

Jeff turned off the gas and called the landlord. We haven’t complained in a while, so I am sure we are due. He is going to come look at it this morning. Hopefully, I won’t come home to an empty lot where my house used to be.
