Many years ago I met a really nice guy named Rich Eckhardt. We hit it off and every since we’ve been the best of friends. He plays in a band (you may know)…called The Easy Money Band..yep…that’s Toby’s band. Well, Rich Eckhardt is Toby’s lead guitarist for the band and he has his second Cd out. I was really super surprised when Rich asked me to be on his CD, so without question I said “Sure!” and thanked him so much for asking me to be a part of his CD. I had the opportunity to listen to the final project and trust me, it’s incredible. His first CD is called “Soundcheck” which is amazing (my favorite tracks are numbers 3, 6 , 8 and 9) and his recent one that is JUST NOW ready is called “Cottage City Firehouse”. I’m on this CD..woo whooo..I’m actually on the CD..can you believe it? OMG…I’m on track number 9 (tequila).

On his website you can hear clips of his new CD as well as hear clips from his previous CD “Soundcheck”. If you go to his website at www.richeckhardt.com you’ll see it in there. I do not receive profits from this CD just so you know. I am just so happy he asked me to be part of it and I wanted to share it with you.

The Name of our Birthday Bash is “Barefoot and Crazy” which happens to be our host’s title of his latest single:

Tomorrow is the day and we’re so excited to see you! Your Wolf turns two (14 in human lives) so you know we’re gonna have some fun. We are holding our 2nd Annual Birthday Bash at the Saddle Rack in Freemont and you’re invited. If you need directions to get there, just go to www.thesaddlerack.com. We’re so happy about this terrific day we’ve even invited a couple of our friends to join us. Although without you there wouldn’t be a party and your Wolf LOVES to have fun. Keep in mind, the only way to get into our exclusive party is to win. Make sure to listen to me (Nikki) to win to get your tickets to get in. Heck, even our hosts won to get in. Here’s the lineup we have to entertain you. We have YOU, (Yay!!), Trent Tomlinson and Jack Ingram.

Okay here’s a little bit about your performers for the night.

Trent Tomlinson. He has a new album coming in stores July 21, 2009 the Album is called “A Guy Like Me” with his current hit “A Guy Like Me” be sure to listen to the Wolf to be the 1st to win this album before it hits stores. Here’s a little more about Trent taken from his website at www.trenttomlinson.com

Singer/songwriter Trent Tomlinson is one of those rare performers whose music is as straight-ahead and unpretentious as he is. “My songs,” he says simply, “are real-life situations with kick-ass guitar.” “It’s ‘open a beer, sit in a lawn chair, let’s have a party’ country,” he says of his music. “At the same time, the songs are saying, ‘I have the ability to love you, to understand,’ and at the end of the day all that matters is Mama and Daddy and going to heaven. That pretty much sums everything up.”Trent honed his music to perfection in countless demo studios over the years. “I’ve had five publishing deals,” he says. “I’ve practically lived in the studio, creating and honing a sound of my own. And it turns out that five of the songs on the album record are actually my demos — Lyric Street loved them so much as is that we just went in and re-sang and tweaked a little, instead of re-recording.”

Trent from behind. Hmmm.

Next: On to Jack Ingram.

You’ve heard this guy on your Wolf. He’s the “Big Voice Guy” when he says “The bay area clock tower strikes (a certain hour). That’s Jack’s voice. Jack is probably one of the nicest artists I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. He performs so gracefully and never misses a beat. His voice is very commanding and he relates to the audience as though he knows each and every one of us. Here’s a little bit about Jack:

Taken from cmt.com: In 2006, Ingram released Live — Wherever You Are, an album he recorded at Gruene Hall, on Big Machine Records. The project included his first two new studio tracks since the Electric sessions. The album’s first single, “Wherever You Are,” reached No. 1 at country radio. Oh..did you know he also won an ACM? Yep! Check it out here: http://www.jackingram.net/default.htm.
