Seeing as the holidays are here, it’s fun to get out and fall on your butt, right? …unless you’re like my friend Patricia, who is a closet ice skating pro, who, unlike me, looks fabulous when she’s on the ice. Me? I’m there for comic relief, but I’m there and having fun! So, where’s to go to get your skate on?

Well, top of the list is Wolf Skate, coming up Sunday, December 13th… that’ll be at San Francisco’s Holiday Ice Rink at the Embarcadero, which is open daily through January 3rd. I’ll get you more details soon :)

There’s also the Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square – if you’re downtown with a car, you may want to try parking someplace other than the Union Square garage – it was nuts the other day… but hey, you never know! LOL!

San Jose has you skating under the palms with Downtown Ice at Circle of Palms and Walnut Creek has the Downtown Walnut Creek On Ice rink again, too. This year there are ice rinks in Dublin and Pleasanton, too! Check out the rink at 4808 Dublin Blvd., Dublin and Sharks Ice and the city of Pleasanton have set up a 14,000-square-foot ice rink in the parking lot of the Pleasanton library, at 400 Old Bernal Avenue.

Come on! Get your cutest hat and scarf on and go have some holiday fun!

RebaCurringtonCountry Fried Turkey: Country stars will be celebrating Thanksgiving on TV, on tour and at home this week. It will be a New York City Thanksgiving for Reba and Billy Currington, who are part of festivities for the 83rd Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Taylor Swift will be featured on NBC-TV’s People Of The Year special and Carrie Underwood will be part of CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute (11/26). Sara Evans, Justin Moore, John Rich, Kenny Rogers, Darius Rucker, Wynonna and Chris Young are all on the road for the holiday weekend. For those staying at home, sides rule as stars dish about their Thanksgiving favorites:

  • “My favorite would be homemade dressing … cornbread-based dressing that we always have with turkey. That recipe is a combination of my mama’s, and Denise has taken it and perfected it over the years,” — Alan Jackson.
  • “I skip the turkey. I skip the ham. I skip all of that for homemade macaroni and cheese,” — Chuck Wicks.
  • “We always mix it up … from potato casserole to Angie and her mom have this special green bean recipe that they do. Mashed potatoes are always on the table,” — Troy Gentry (Montgomery Gentry).
  • “Chicken and dumplins are my favorite … I just love them. It’s probably the most unhealthiest thing in the world to eat, and I just love it,” — Eddie Montgomery (Montgomery Gentry).

miley CirusMiley Cyrus’ tour bus driver was killed last night after his vehicle flipped over on a highway in Virginia, TMZ is reporting. The singer’s manager told TMZ, “It was one of our tour buses, but not Miley’s. It was one of our buses that transported our lighting crew.” According to officials, the ‘Hannah Montana‘ star was on another bus traveling in the caravan. Cyrus was not injured.

A witness to the crash said the bus appeared to have drifted off the road for a fairly long stretch before tipping over. Officials are investigating whether Cyrus’ driver might have died before the crash, which could explain why the bus drifted off the road. Nine people sustained minor injuries in the accident, but no other fatalities were reported.

This will be the duo’s second Oprah appearance this year.

taylorTaylor Swift wants justice — after a sting operation in Idaho revealed that a little sports bar was totally cheating her out of … a few dollars a month.

Swift has attached herself to a copyright infringement lawsuit spearheaded by BMI — the enforcer of music royalties.

According to a lawyer connected to the case, BMI deployed an “agent” to go on a recon mission at The Sports Cellar bar sometime last year, and the agent noticed the bar was playing music — including Taylor’s stuff — that they hadn’t paid for the right to play.

We’re told they even used the allegedly stolen music for Karaoke!!!! Have they no shame?!

Swift and co. are suing for unspecified damages — but compared to the millions she’s raking in right now, this thing in Idaho is totally small potatoes.

TobyKeithI Love This Pub: Nothing seems to have been lost in translation as Toby Keith took his America’s Toughest Tour to Europe last week. “The fans are amazing, and we’ve talked to people from all over the world who have traveled just to see the show,” a crewmember says of the sold-out tour, which kicked off Monday (11/9) in Glasgow, Scotland. “Everyone crowds around after the concert — backstage or in the secured parking lot — just trying to get a look. And Toby signs autographs and talks with each fan until the last one is gone.” Local papers say Keith’s fans are hoping his first European tour isn’t his last. And fan videos of the concerts have popped up like tulips in Holland. Here are fun clips from London (11/10), Dublin (11/12) and Belfast (11/13). Keith wraps his European trek Sunday (11/22) in Bergen, Norway

alanjacksonName Them One By One: December’s People country issue has Alan Jackson and wife Denise gracing the cover. The Jacksons discuss their greatest gifts, as do Carrie Underwood, Joe Nichols, Zac Brown, Holly Williams and others for the feature “I Count My Blessings.” In addition to their three teenage daughters, the Jacksons list their 30-year marriage as their greatest blessing. “When we started out, we were just kids and didn’t know what real love was,” Alan says of his high school sweetheart. “When you get to our age, to have someone you’ve shared all those years with is a great thing. We hope to carry it on until we’re real old.” Also look for vintage pictures of Underwood’s rise to fame from the elementary school stage, Brown’s growing family, and wedding photos from Williams and Nichols.
