All my friends have done it, and well I wanted to do it, but I was scared!!! Well, I decided to finally have it done! I did my homework and met w/ Dr. Simon from the Simon Vision Institute. WOW! Dr. Simon is impressive! He has done over 65,000 thousand lasik procedures! (Dr. Simon said it was more like 80 thousand but he is shy.)

Day of the procedure, I walked in and everyone greeted me so nicely. I was able to get a cup of tea and wait for my eye exam. Oh yea, you have to have an eye exam. It’s not bad at all. It’s the same exam you get when you go for contacts or glasses, but a tad more extensive. No it doesn’t hurt!

Once all is said and done, Dr. Simon takes you on a tour of the facility and tells you EXACTLY whats going to happen. It’s not painful, just a bit uncomfortable but SO WORTH IT!

After my lasik procedure, I could see the time on the wall clock. I was floored. I went home and slept for about four hours and woke up with better vision! I went in the next day for my follow up and had 20/15 in one eye and 20/20 in the other!!! Every day it gets better and better!

Get your grills out! Summer is HERE!!!

Here’s former chef, turned Country superstar Zac Brown’s Smoked Whole Ribeye recipe. If you make it, I wanna hear about it!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup sea salt
1/4 cup black pepper
1/3 cup thyme dried
1/2 cup rosemary
1/4 cup granulated garlic
1/4 cup dehydrated oion
3 kinds of dried mushrooms – 1 cup total mixed, Chef’s Choice – Oyster, Porcini, etc.
Soak whole ribeye in red wine (such as a strong cabernet) in a plastic bag for 1 hour. Next, put all ingredients in blender and blend until fine. Pack mixture on ribeye and rub until all is packed on.

Make sure smoker has a fire box. With wood in box, keep meat away from heat and a pan of water underneath meat to keep moist. Smoke overnight with dampers partially open until fire is out. Let meat cool, should be black on outside. Put in convection oven with thermometer until internal temp is 160 – 165. Rest for 10 min and slice.

Dipping Sauce (optional):

1 large container of sour cream
1/2 cup hot horseradish
1 tbsp salt

Keith Urban lead a Happy Birthday song in honor of his wife Nicole Kidman at Soldier Field in Chicago during an Eagles Concert.

Since she was away in Australia attending her sister’s wedding, he had a stadium full of people help him sing so he could record it and send it to her.

Wow…. does this guy just TRY to make all other husbands/boyfriends look bad, or is he just generally an awesome dude?

According to People Magazine, Tim McGraw is Country’s Hottest Man. He responds, “I don’t feel like I am. I’ve been around a while. But I’ll take it! It certainly makes a guy my age feel good.” Tim jokes, “My wife would pick George Strait. She thinks he’s gorgeous! Or Kris Kristofferson… When we’re around him, she can barely speak.” McGraw might be a middle-aged at 43, but he feels young in his new toned and trimmer 178-pound body. He recently lost 37 pounds and is staying clear of alcohol. He shares, “I don’t feel whatever 43 is supposed to feel like – I still feel pretty young. I’m more confident than I’ve ever been about who I am and what I do and I feel like I’ve got a lot more ahead of me than I do behind me.” Tim admits he’s not comfortable without his cowboy hat, noting, “I have thin hair, but everyone my age does – unless you’re George Clooney, and you hate those guys.” So what does Country’s Hottest Guy sleep in at night? He confesses, “Um… I tried, but I can’t have anything on me when I sleep.”

PEOPLE Country will hit shelves on June 18.
