Jeff has picked up some funky bug. He got up yesterday and got ready for work. Then he started to feel dizzy, got sick and couldn’t stop sweating. He was in bed all day yesterday. I felt so bad for him. We don’t know if he has a really bad case of sun-poisoning or picked up a virus. Hopefully, it was just too much sun. I have to admit, I have never seen him with a burn that bad.

I told him we have to be more careful. I don’t want to have to take him to the dermatologist so he can scoop stuff out of his nose.

I am looking forward to Friday. Not only is it Friday, but I am having lunch with my pal, Lisa. She lives up in Cloverdale and I don’t get to see her as much as I would like. She has been super-busy this Summer. So, we are finally connecting this week.

It was such an action-packed 3 day weekend. Having an extra day off is great, however, it makes it harder to go back to work. Friday, I added another tattoo to the mix. Tanja at Tuttle Tattoo is such a gifted artist. I am so happy with it. I am sure my family is going to think I am nuts.

We hit the Sausalito Art Festival on Saturday. It was a blast. We got to see Modern English and The Fixx. Man, that took me back. The sun was shining and the drinks were flowing. We were going to stay for The Bangles, however, the crowd was getting so rowdy. We decided to leave before things got too crazy.

Sunday, we had a relaxing day. We sat on the deck and read. It was great. I finished one book and got halfway through another. I love days like those.

Yesterday, we worked around the house. We are trying to save money for Buster’s surgery. He’s worth it.

We got some bad news about Buster. He has been straining lately when we take him out the urinate. We were concerned, so we took him to the vet. The vet did some x-rays, some blood tests and a urinalysis. He found a suspicious object, small, but in there nonetheless. So, he recommended we do an ultrasound to pinpoint it, then remove some to see what it is.

We want to do whatever we can, but man…this is not cheap. So, we did the ultrasound and it was not specific enough. The vet now wants to do surgery to take it out and biopsy. He has an idea of what it is, but if we don’t take it out…it could grow and become a blockage. If it gets blocked, it could get really bad.

Jeff and I talked last night. We can’t afford surgery right now for ourselves, let alone Buster. However, we don’t have kids and this is what life is. Life is unexpected expenses and emergencies. We will make it work. Perhaps, I will create a Buster 5k to raise money:)

It was a very hot first day of September, but I am enjoying it. We had such a cold Summer, I will take a few warm days. Plus, it is supposed to cool down for the weekend. So, the weather will be great for the Sausalito Art Festival. We went last year and had such a great time. The bands they get are fantastic.

This year they have The Bangles, Modern English, Pablo Cruz, The Tubes…I can’t wait. We are going to grab brunch with some friends and then hit the show.

This week feels so weird without Eddie. He is on vacation until Tuesday. The show is always different when one of is is gone. He deserves some time off. I hope he is having a good time.

I haven’t feeling too hot for the last couple of days. My nose is stuffed up, I have a sore throat…blech. I decided to come in today…mainly because I can’t take one more episode of ‘Who’s the Boss?’ on the Hallmark Channel. There is just no good day time TV when you are sick. I do like the Food Network, but that always makes me hungry.

And geeez, there are about 142 shows about cupcakes…seriously…cake boss, amazing cakes, cupcake wars, the cupcake stops here, cupcakes or bust…there are so many.

Eddie is on vacation this week. It is just not the same without hi, I have to do the traffic. Plus, I have to make fun of Ken all by myself…it is not an easy job.

No big plans for this Labor Day weekend. The Sausalito Art Festival is going on. We went last year and it was a lot of fun. I will see if I am up for it. Hopefully, I will be full steam ahead in a couple of days.

You know what drives me crazy? People who completely underestimate you and treat you like you have no clue. Man, that is so annoying. It is not even worth going into. However, I am trying to be the bigger person, keep my head and have compassion for my fellow man.

But I am not stupid either, so treating me that way is not going to go over well.

On a postive note, there are some great festivals going on this weekend. There is the Bodega Seafood Festival, the Good Guys Car Show, the Tiburon Art & Wine Festival…and that is just beginning. Jeff and I might meet up with our friends Chris & Lisa. They live in Cloverdale, but might drive over for the festivals. It would be great to see them. It has been too long.

At least is it Friday and I have a blissful 2 days to sleep in. Tylenol PM, you are a good friend.

We got our work stuff done early yesterday, so I got home earlier than usual which was great. I cleaned the kitchen, worked out, did some laundry…made some phone calls. It was great.

I left a voicemail for my gal, Heather, in Florida. It was her birthday yesterday. We are the same age, just a couple months apart. She got back to me last night, I was so happy her gift arrived in time.

This week has gone by pretty fast, I can’t believe it is Thursday already. I am tyring to figure out what we are going to do. I feel like we have a bunch of busy work. We need to do a drop off at Goodwill, the basement all of sudden exploded and that needs to be cleaned. 

Jeff also wants to head in to the city to Tanja. He has one more tattoo left for his half-sleeve. Hopefully, she can fit him in this weekend.

It was another hot one yesterday. Again, I don’t want to complain because it has been such a cold Summer. However, the house refused to cool down. We were putting bowls of ice in front of the fans. It didn’t work.

We actually were icing down the dogs to keep them cool. We bumped into our neighbors who suggested we all go out for a cold, refreshing cocktail at an air-conditioned restaurant. We were lamenting that our bedrooms were easily 106-degrees.

They are headed to Burning Man this weekend. It sounds like quite the amazing event where you can just let loose and not worry about a thing. I would love to go just to observe…I bet there would be some good stories. I told them I wanted to see photos:)

I am loving the hot weather. It is long overdue. It is slightly uncomfortable with no breeze, but I am not complaining after not having it for so long. I actually pulled out a pair of shorts. I haven’t worn shorts in a year. I am sure it was quite disturbing to see so much white on some one’s legs. I hope I didn’t blind any of my neighbors.

We watched ‘Hot Tub Time Machone’ last night. I thought it was hilarious. Jeff liked it too. We always seem to like the fluffy movies that get panned. Give me something less than 2 hrs that makes me giggle and I am yours.

I talked to my sister yesterday. She is building up her pilates clients in San Deigo. I think she was bummed she wasn’t getting more feedback, but it is Summer and people are still vacationing. Now, they are starting to come in.

Today is going to be another hot one. It will be 92 in the city. I will be lying motionless in front of the fan. Those are my afternoon plans.

I am so happy we are finally getting some warm weather. It was gorgeous out yesterday. The heat of the sun felt fantastic.

The weekend flew by, like they usually do. Jeff and I tried to make the most of it. We didn’t watch much TV, we spent some quality time together. I know, crazy right?

I don’t have a crazy week this week and I am loving it. There is no rushing around. I can just chill and catch up on things.

I am behind on my phone calls. I need to check in with the family. Today I am putting in some calls to dad and my sis. I am so bad about the phone.

My mosquito bites are finally going away. That took a week. Yikes.
