Hey, there is a *ton* of stuff going on this weekend – we’re into the summer festival season – so I’m sure this is just the tip of the iceberg of what all’s going on, but here are a few ideas…

Fri:
SummerTini 2009
– 6p-9p Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, 701 Mission St, SF – A special Benefit for CHEFS (Conquering Homelessness Through Employment in Food Services) – Infused martinis, fabulous alcohol-free drinks, food from top Bay Area restaurants, music and visual, live auction & raffels.

Through June 28th:
The San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival
– daily through June 28th – Castro, Roxie & Victoria Theaters, and the Rialto Cinemas Elmwood in Berkeley – During the 11 days of the Frameline33 Film Festival, more than 60,000 patrons from the Bay Area and across the globe are expected to see the 219 feature length and short films appearing in the festival program.

Join The Wolf’s Ken Anderson from Ken & Corey Mornings in Santa Rosa at the Office Depot from Noon-2p for a NASCAR Experience featuring Tony Stewart’s Show car #14!

The 9th Annual “Vertical Challenge” Helicopter Air Show
– The Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos – 9a-5p – Adult: $17, Youth & Seniors (5-17, 65+): $10, 4 and under: FREE. Free Airshow entrance with museum membership. This is a unique event that allows visitors to see first hand helicopter operations. The show is devoted to demonstrating to the public of how helicopters affect our daily lives from traffic and news reports to its unique life saving ability, to the National Defense of our Country.

The NowHere Faire
– 9:55a-6p – at Love Field in Point Rayes Station – 7 bands, food, arts, crafts and a huge kids town for the event. $20 presale, under 12 $10, free with 2 paying adults, $25 at the gate.

Sat:
Summer Sailstice 2009
– Treasure Island, SF  – 9a-8:30p – Free! – Summer Sailstice is a celebration of sailing on the summer solstice. Enjoy fun, sun, live music and sailing on Treasure Island. Qualify for prizes with the Bay’s best on-the-water party.

Sat:
Film Night in the Park
– Dolores Park – 8p – Free! – Get out to see 007 in Goldfinger! Bring a blanket or lawn chair, a picnic and your friends.

Sat:
The 6th Annual Polk Street Pub Craw
– 4p-8p – Join CrawlSF for the beginning of the 2009 Pub Crawl Season – the fun all starts at Shanghai Kelly’s (Polk @ Broadway)

Sat & Sun:
Toyota/Save Mart 350
– Gates open at 7am! – The NASCAR Sprint Cup series makes its only Northern California stop during the 2009 racing season at Infineon Raceway.  The weekend will also feature the top racing stars of tomorrow in the Bennett Lane Winery 200, presented by Supercuts (NASCAR West Series).  The weekend will also feature an extensive vendor midway, air show, live music, Q&A sessions with NASCAR drivers and more!

Sat & Sun:
Marin Art Festival - 10a-6p – the Lagoon at Marin Civic Center – Over 250 Fine Artists and Entertainers $10, kids under 14 are free, free parking

Sat & Sun:
Northern California Pirate Festival
– 10a -7p – Free! – Pirate Entertainers,Musicians, Singers,Swordfighters,Craftspeople, & more turn Vallejo’s waterfront into a Pirate Town.

Sun:
Silicon Valley Duck Race and Family Festival
– 10a-3p – celebrate Father’s Day and help your community by adopting ducks that will race to the finish line for charity. To adopt a duck for only $5, and a chance to win prizes, possibly even $1,000,000!

Sun:
Father’s Day Onboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Hornet
– 10a-5p – Visit the USS Hornet Aircraft Carrier on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 21, to experience “Living Ship Day” and participate in mission briefings, see airplanes lifted to the flight deck and more

Sun:
Military Helicopter Display
– The Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos – 10a-2p – A Military Helicopter static display between 10am-2pm. If you’re lucky you may even catch them when they depart!

Tues:
Join the Wolf for a free concert with Katie Armiger and a $500 shopping spree at Coddingtown Mall in Santa Rosa! Katie will perform from noon to 1 pm and again from 6-7 pm. She will also sign autographs and accompany one lucky winner on an unforgettable shopping spree.
