Hey, Guys! Here are just a few of the 4th of July events going on around the Bay:

Fri:
Torchlight Parade
– Downtown Benicia – 6:30p – Benicia’s Independence Day parade stretches all the way down First Street and includes music, dancers, floats, horses, clowns, and live entertainment.

Sat:
Fillmore Jazz Festival 2009
– 10a-6p, Fillmore St. between Jackson and Eddy.Great food, arts, crafts and music all day!

Sat:
18th Annual Pond Tour
– Santa Clara Vally Koi and Water Garden Club – 9a – 4p – Koi and water gardens there is a pond tour on Saturday.

Sat:

Fourth of July Waterfront Celebration – 1p-9:30p – Pier 39, SF – live music during the day and fireworks at night

Sat:
Oakland’s Fireworks Celebration
– Jack London Square – 7p – 9:35 – Music begins with a 20-minute fireworks show over the Oakland and Alameda estuary.

Sat:
Picnic and Fireworks
in downtown Benicia – Noon – 7p – Picnic in the Park & Fireworks Benicia’s City Park is filled with arts and crafts, delicious hot food, live entertainment, and children’s activities. Fireworks start at approximately 9 p.m. at the foot of First Street

Sat:
11th Annual 4th of July Celebration in Antioch
– 7-10p – Downtown Antioch – Free! – The Hometown Parade starts at 7p with live music afterwards, then fireworks

Sat:
Fireworks after the San Jose Giants
game at San Jose Municipal Stadium

Through Sun:
Marin County Fair
Marin Civic Center, Civic Center Drive, San Rafael – 11a-11p daily, Don’t miss the Fireworks Show over the lagoon nightly at 9:30 pm.

Through July 19th:
Alameda County Fair
– Alameda County Fair Grounds -  Hours: Closed Mondays, Open Tues. – Thurs. 11a – 10p, Fri. – Sun. 10a – 10p & July 4th open from 10a – 9p. Don’t miss the fireworks on Friday, July 3rd!
