Dear Friends,

The Rowell Ranch Rodeo is celebrating it’s 90th Annual Rodeo this year. I’m really looking forward to it this year, the weather is gonna be perfect. So many cool events, like the Rowell Ranch Rodeo Parade, Annual Celebrity Team Penning & BBQ, Local Team Roping & Wild Cow Milking, and my favorite … THE CHILI COOK-OFF!!! This year, I’ve been chosen to be a judge. My Uncle Larry (back in Missouri) makes the best super hot chili west of the Mississippi River, and I pride myself on knowing good food when I taste it … which is very often, by the size of my pants. I’ll be out at the ranch tomorrow (Friday) at 5pm and I sure hope to meet all you good people out there. Bring on the chili, people … Eddie’s hungry :)

I’m hosting a little “Redneck Party” at Tower Grille in Danville this Saturday night. Just some good friends, great drink specials, hot country music, and fun prizes (like Country Throwdown Tickets, CD’s etc)

The party starts at 9pm and rocks until they kick us out. Grab some friends and come on down. I look forward to spending a Saturday night with you, in my new hood … Danville. Shoot me an email if you have any questions … see you Saturday. Eddie :)

One thing my mom always used to tell me was how she hated “hello’s”.   Always thought that was strange, I mean “who doesn’t like hello’s?”

It wasn’t until today I realized what she meant, it’s with every hello, there comes a “Good-Bye”.

Today is the hardest day in my radio career to where I have to say “Good-bye” to you as I relocate back East to be closer to family.

The birth of The Wolf in the Bay Area was the most amazing thing I’ve ever heard in my radio career.  It was at the very moment when I heard it, that I knew San Francisco was in for a treat.  I do hope The Wolf has brought you much happiness as it has me in these past couple of years.

The fact that I can touch peoples’ lives in a positive way brings joy to me as a person.  If I can make someone laugh, think, or remember a special time, then I know I’m doing what I was meant to be doing.

There was never a doubt in my mind that I was meant to be at the Wolf in San Francisco.  I will miss every single person I had the great opportunity to work with.  The Prime Minister of Twang (my boss) has made a difference in my life which I will hold and cherish forever.

But most of all, I will miss you, the Wolf listeners.  It’s because of you and your support and your passion that country music will always have a home here in the Bay Area.

Working with you through your work day has brought much love and joy to my heart knowing your listening to my show.

Normally I would say “Until Next Time”..but this time, there is no Next Time.. so I’ll just leave you with Much Love, Nikki

Many years ago I met a really nice guy named Rich Eckhardt. We hit it off and every since we’ve been the best of friends. He plays in a band (you may know)…called The Easy Money Band..yep…that’s Toby’s band. Well, Rich Eckhardt is Toby’s lead guitarist for the band and he has his second Cd out. I was really super surprised when Rich asked me to be on his CD, so without question I said “Sure!” and thanked him so much for asking me to be a part of his CD. I had the opportunity to listen to the final project and trust me, it’s incredible. His first CD is called “Soundcheck” which is amazing (my favorite tracks are numbers 3, 6 , 8 and 9) and his recent one that is JUST NOW ready is called “Cottage City Firehouse”. I’m on this CD..woo whooo..I’m actually on the CD..can you believe it? OMG…I’m on track number 9 (tequila).

On his website you can hear clips of his new CD as well as hear clips from his previous CD “Soundcheck”. If you go to his website at www.richeckhardt.com you’ll see it in there. I do not receive profits from this CD just so you know. I am just so happy he asked me to be part of it and I wanted to share it with you.

I have Logo T- Shirts, Personalized Photos and a special 2/for offer if you buy my first disc Soundcheck and the new one Cottage City Firehouse together. I’m very excited about this CD and the music on it. Orders will go out ASAP. The official release date is May 12th. You’re sure to get it way before that! Thanks Rich”

If you DO go to his website, please tell him Nikki sent you.

Enjoy!

Until Next Time,

Much Love,
Nikki

This past Friday we wrapped up our first ever St. Jude Children’s Hospital Radiothon raising over $425,000 for the kids!  It’s been a rollercoaster emotions from anticipation to anxiety to excitement… at the end of the day there’s no feeling like knowing that we’ve all helped make a huge difference in these childrens’ lives!  And the one message I’d like to convey to you is THANK YOU…

THANK YOU for becoming a Partner in Hope

THANK YOU for your compassion and support

THANK YOU for digging deep in these bad economic times and finding a way to donate

THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS PAST WEEK ONE OF THE MOST REWARDING AND MEANINGFUL WEEKS SINCE THE KICK-OFF OF THE WOLF TWO YEARS AGO!!!

Without you there would be no Wolf and the true character of the Wolfpack shined through this past week!  Once again, thank you for making “The Wolf’s Hunt For A Cure” a huge success that will continue to support the progression of St. Jude Childrens’ Research Hospital!
